Last month, we lost Dave aka Trugoy The Dove aka Plug 2 of De La Soul. One of the most influential groups to come out of the 80s Golden Age. Much has been written lately about their impact, especially with their back catalog hitting streaming services at the beginning of March.
All that said, I tried to make a mix covering the sound that De La pioneered. From dense samples, to equally dense lyrics, I hope I did their legacy justice.
